About Me

I’m a board-certified pediatrician, a dad, and an ultramarathon runner who believes kids deserve healthcare that’s honest, compassionate, and grounded in science. I’ve spent my career caring for children and supporting families, helping parents make informed decisions in a world that can feel loud, confusing, and full of misinformation.

Medicine doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. I believe good care starts with listening, clear communication, and meeting families where they are — because trust and understanding matter just as much as the science.

Behind the scenes, my wife helps manage my social media and advocacy work, and together we’re raising six kids across every stage of childhood, from elementary through high school. Living this in real time keeps me grounded and shapes how I approach both medicine and education.

When I’m not in clinic, you’ll usually find me running long distances, spending time outdoors, or with my family. Whether it’s medicine, parenting, or running, I believe in showing up consistently and doing the work with integrity.

Why I Do This

Over the years, I’ve seen how overwhelming medical decisions can feel for parents — especially when fear-based messaging and misinformation drown out facts. That’s why I use my voice both inside and outside the clinic to advocate for evidence-based medicine, pediatric public health, and honest conversations about child health.

Through education, media, and community engagement, my goal is simple:
to make science understandable, accessible, and useful for families.

My Approach

I believe the best medicine is:

  • Evidence-based, not driven by trends or fear

  • Compassionate, because every family’s situation is unique

  • Straightforward, because parents deserve clear answers

As a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), I’m committed to the highest standards of pediatric care — while keeping information practical, relatable, and human.

Outside the Clinic

When I’m not caring for patients or advocating for kids’ health, you’ll usually find me running long distances on trails, snowboarding, spending time with my family, or getting outside whenever I can. Ultrarunning has taught me a lot about endurance, consistency, and showing up — lessons that carry directly into medicine and advocacy.

Whether I’m logging miles or talking child health, I believe progress comes from showing up day after day and doing the work with integrity.
